About Us
The Cross Academy (TCA) was established in 2020 as a Christian independent and English medium school which started operating on the 15 of February 2021 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The first Campus, The Cross Academy Early Learning Centre, is situated in Risinga View. The second campus, The Cross Academy Primary school is situated at B9 Makosha. Both centres are there to serve the Greater Giyani Municipality and it’s surrounding communities. Currently, the school has a capacity of 600 to cater for Pre-school and Primary school. The first learners who were in Grade R (Reception class) in 2021 keep on growing with the school as the school grows by one grade every year. They are the pioneers and shall remain the senior grade.

The Cross Academy currently serves children from Baby Care (6-12 months) through Preschool and the Foundation Phase (Grade R to Grade 4). We are expanding annually, with Grade 5 becoming available in 2026 and Grade 7 by 2028, ensuring continuous progression for our students.
We offer a comprehensive, English-medium curriculum based on biblical principles, fostering human tolerance for all. Our subjects include English, Mathematics, Life Skills, Xitsonga Home Language, Social Sciences, Natural Science and Technology, and an exciting focus on Coding and Robotics from Grade R.
We provide a rich variety of activities including Sports (Athletics, Football, Netball, Volleyball), Arts (Dance, Music, Drama, Poetry, Visual Arts, Gymnastics), and various Clubs like Knitting, Debate, and Robotics. We also encourage Community Service and support Hobbies like creative writing.
Yes, we offer merit-based education scholarships for academically sound children who achieve excellent marks. Eligibility for a 6-month tuition-free period is determined by your child’s annual academic average, recognizing first-position achievements.
